My cousin R is always giving me rides and buying me pizza, so when he forgot his wallet today I happily paid for his gas at the gas station.

Why is this not private?
I've gone public with this for two reasons. First, it holds me accountable. I'm more motivated to continue if others are watching. Second, it may inspire others. I encourage all to copy the concept and blog their own commitment. Imagine a whole community committed to good deeds.
What makes a good deed?
Everyone has different politics and opinions, hence different ideas about what makes a good deed. In the end, it is up to the conscience of the person performing the deed. No doubt many will disagree with my views at times. Comments to that effect are welcome, so long as they are constructive and free of abusive language.
